#4— Mark Brodd—Infield — Barnstable H.S.

Mark  has been the Post 206 starting second baseman for past two seasons and has excelled with some of the best opponents in District 10 ... started every game for Barnstable this year at second baseand batted in the two-hole. He has been one of the top infielders in Barnstable baseball for the past six years ... saw considerable action at the varsity level his sophomore year. ... gutsy, scrappy, intelligent student-athlete who also plays varsity ice hockey for the Red Raiders... played AAU ball with Jack Toffey and the Dugout Dawgs and was a perennial Little League all-star before graduating to the big diamond... coachable and clutch... seems to somehow always get the job done when it counts most... a welcome addition to the Post 206 roster.... his father, Dave Brodd, is a BHS alum who starred in football and baseball for the Red Raiders in the early 1970s and served as baseball captain.
