Barnstable High School Red Raider Highlights...
• Belted home run and had 3 RBI vs. Dartmouth in BHS regular-season finale ('10)
• 2-4 with RBI vs. Attleboro on the road (5-17-10)
• 2-4 vs. D-Y in tough, 3-2 loss on the road.
• Went 3-4 in 18-2 rout of Dartmouth on 5-6-10.
• Collected 2 hits and 2 RBI vs. Attleboro on 5-3-10.
• 2-4 and 2 RBI vs. Nauset in 6-5 win on 4-19-10.
• 2-3 at Falmouth in 11-1 win on April 10, 2010. |
Pernick returns for his third season for Post 206 after in 2011 after finishing second on the team in hitting among starters with a .362 average... has strong arm and solid glove in outfield and might even be looked to for some relief pitching this summer... a superior student-athlete who made the Barnstable High School varsity basketball team for the first time this year (varsity) and started in four games for the Red & White... leading the team in hitting last summer with a brilliant .397 clip from the leadoff spot... started at second base last summer and looks to shift to the Post 206 outfield... staged gutsy, fantastic complete-game pitching performance last summer versus Hingham on the road in tough, 5-4 loss... has proven himself as the top hitter at Barnstable High School this spring after starting at second base for most of the season in 2009 as a sophomore...received rare invitation to attend the Area Code games in June of this year to tryout for the New York Yankees... gifted student-athlete who works hard at the game and plays to win.
