#55— Sean Walsh—Asst. Head Coach/General Mgr.

Coach Walsh took the reins as the Barnstable Post 206 head coach three years ago following in the footsteps of Ted Barnicle and has steadily helped the program rebuild and improve each season, including this one with the appointment of the well-respected Jack Toffey as Post 206 Field Manager.

     For the past 23 years, Coach Walsh has coached both as a volunteer and professional including baseball, football, basketball, soccer and track & field, with baseball being his true passion.

     The former Director of Public Relations for the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and the league's first-ever official photographer, as well as the former general manager of the Bourne Braves, Walsh has coached  and helped toward success dozens of Division  I collegiate baseball players as well as professional players. An award-winning journalist who has published his work in over 30 newspapers and 15 magazines,  Walsh  is the former publisher of the Cape Cod Sports Report and is an award-winning web designer  and former United States Marine, he lives in Marstons Mills with his wife, three children and two dogs.

     Coach Walsh says his  fondest coaching moment came with the 50-26 victory Barnstable Middle School victory over Falmouth  Middle School to end a perfect undefeated season,  the last season in the 79-year-history of Barnstable Middle School football. • Former track and football coach at Barnstable Middle School, coaching last football team to ever play at BMS, undefeated

•Served five years as vice president of Barnstable Little League

• Served as Director of Facilities and Director of Public Relations for the Cotuit Kettleers for five seasons.

• Served six years as Barnstable Silver Bullets coach as defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator and Head Coach

• Served four years as head coach of AAU Barnstable Mini-Red Raiders Basketball Team

• Served as Director of Public Relations, Cape Cod Baseball League from 1999-2003
