#12 — Derek Lucas - OF-RHP - Freshman - Barnstable High School
Derek comes to Post 206 and American Legion baseball for his first of many seasons to come... phenomenal arm, control, location and command of his pitches... blazing speed on basepaths... hits the ball very hard... young recruit is coming off his second straight superb AAU baseball season with the Barnstable Braves and a fantastic year for the 12-1 middle school baseball team... also played a key role on state-championship qualifying Barnstable AAU boys basketball team this winter.... expects to join the Red Raider fold this fall on the freshmen football team... a truly gifted athlete and honor roll student with great potential... plays outfield with great range.

• Tossed five innings of shutout ball and gave up one hit versus gifted Springield AAU club

• Went 4-4 with two RBI versus Cape Cod Sharks in recent AAU action
